  • My Hearts of Midtown Hospital series is in Amazon’s Kindle Unlimited (KU) program, and you can read the e-books free with a KU subscription. You do not need a Kindle Unlimited subscription to purchase an e-book! You also don’t need a separate Kindle device to use KU - you can read from the Kindle app on your phone.   • Each book is a standalone novel and can be read on its own. But, here is some helpful information to determine your reading order.

    The first two books (Love, PRN and The Doctor Falls First) center around Quinn and Soren’s relationship and are single POV.

    You can read Love, PRN and The Doctor Falls First at the same time in the Tandem Read - check my Tandem Reading Guide for more information! This is not a requirement, though.

    Or, you can read each book separately. You can skip the first book if you want and go straight to the second from Soren’s POV if you’re looking for a quick read that is more romance-focused with tons of yearning and even more spice, entirely from his POV! Book 1 from Quinn’s POV is longer because it details her mental health journey and her struggles with nursing school and being a new grad nurse, alongside her developing relationship.

    Book 1- Love, PRN = Quinn POV (her POV)

    Book 2 - The Doctor Falls First = Soren POV (his POV)

    Book 3 - Protocol for Pretending = both Henry and Sam POV (dual POV)

    I will say, for Book 3, you can read it as a standalone, but you will understand Sam and Henry’s characters much better if you read the first two books. You’ll also pick up on easter eggs I left behind. Not a requirement, though!

  • Yes! Since Love, PRN and The Doctor Falls First both center around Quinn and Soren’s relationship, from each of their POVs, the stories can be read at the same time (in tandem) to get the full emotional impact!

    Have you ever read a single POV romance book and wondered what the other love interest is thinking? Me, too….so I gave Soren his own book!

    Both Love, PRN and The Doctor Falls First are standalone novels that can be read separately, too, so please don’t think that a tandem read is required. You can choose to read Quinn’s book only, or start with Soren’s book, too, and you will have a satisfying reading experience either way.

  • My e-books are enrolled in Kindle Unlimited, and Amazon requires exclusivity to their platform to participate in the program. I did not make this decision lightly, but the majority of my author income comes from KU page reads, and even though billionaires are evil, Amazon has dominated the self-publishing space, and this is the best way to make my books available to the greatest number of readers. Please don’t blame authors for the monopolies created by large corporations that limit choices in the late-stage capitalistic society in which we live, we’re doing the best we can!

  • PRN is a medical abbreviation meaning “as needed,” from the Latin pro re nata. I titled my first book Love, PRN as a nod to the medical setting, though in retrospect, it does look like something else when you first glance at it and if I were to do it over again I’d probably choose a different title :)

  • Yes, I write open door romance with consensual sexual acts depicted on the page.

    If 5 chili peppers is the spiciest book you’ve ever read and zero chili peppers is a book with no kissing, I’d say Love, PRN is about 2-2.5/5 chili peppers.

    The Doctor Falls First is 3-3.5/5 spicy.
